Hockey is a fantastic sport for children of all ages, combining teamwork, fitness, friendships and fun. At Stockton Hockey Club, we welcome players of all abilities, including those picking up a stick for the very first time.
Your child does not need previous hockey experience to join Stockton. Many of our players began as complete beginners and have developed their skills through our supportive junior programme.
Our coaches focus on helping players learn the basics, build confidence and enjoy being part of a team.
Learn The Basics
Players are introduced to the fundamentals of hockey including passing, receiving, shooting and movement.
Have Fun
Sessions are designed to be enjoyable, with games and activities helping children learn while having fun.
Make Friends
Hockey is a team sport, and players quickly become part of the Stockton community.
Develop Skills
As players progress, they are supported to continue improving and taking on new challenges.
Don't worry about having all the equipment straight away. New players can come along and try hockey before committing. As long as they have comfortable sports clothing, trainers and ideally shin pads we can supply the rest!
